Urgent News about blood tests - 27.08.21
There is a national shortage of blood bottles which is expected to last until at least 17th September 2021. We have been advised by the NHS to postpone all non-urgent blood tests. We will advise you if we feel that you urgently require a blood test and advise you when the situation changes. This situation is out of our control; thank you for your patience.
COVID 19 Update August 2021
July 19th 2021 is when all restrictions for COVID were removed. The practice is a high risk environment and we are keen to maintain a safe and healthy place for you to be. Please help us to keep you and those around you safe. Masks - the continued wearing of masks is current government guidance and is strongly recommended. Please wear your mask if you come into the practice for any reason. Social distancing - we will continue to promote social distance awareness. Please use chairs available in the waiting area, which are separated for distance purposes. If there is no seating left, please consider waiting outside until one becomes available. Hand Sanitiser - this will continue to be provided. Please use when entering the building and when leaving. Your help with keeping us safe is appreciated. Many thanks.

If you have an urgent problem when the surgery is closed please ring the usual surgery number and your call will be answered by the out-of-hours service. Please note that when contacting them, your telephone conversation will be recorded.
Calls to NHS 111 are free from both landlines and mobiles.
The nearest NHS Walk-In Centre is located at: Phoenix Centre, Parkfield Road, Parkfields, Wolverhampton WV4 6ED. Open between 10:00 to 19:00 Monday to Friday and 10:00 to 16:00 on Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays.
The centre offers on-the-spot treatment (without an appointment) and advice for minor health problems, illness, ailments and injuries. You are able to 'walk in' during opening hours.
In a genuine emergency you should call 999. Chest pains and/or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
OUT OF HOURS SERVICE
On a Thursday afternoon, the surgery phone lines close at 1.00 pm however, the surgery doors remain open and patients can continue to come into the surgery until it closes at 6.30 pm.
To ensure continuity of essential services to patients at all times, the practice utilises the services of an out of hours provider. This out of hours service is available on a Thursday afternoon between 1.00 - 6.30pm, where patients can access telephone advice, appointments or a home visit.
